Willard Barth on Self-awareness

Are you in charge of your life? Or do you feel you're driven by the forces around you? If you're not actively making the choices that guide your life, you're not in control. The truth is, you can't manage what you don't understand. Without self-awareness, you'll do things that turn out to be against your best interests, and you'll have no idea why you did them.
“Of all knowledge the wise and good seek most to know themselves.” - William Shakespeare

“An unexamined life is not worth living.” - Socrates

"He who knows others is wise; he who knows himself is enlightened." - Lao Tzu

"Face the facts of being what you are, for that is what changes what you are." - Soren Kierkegaard

It may take courage to face the truth of who you are, and seeking an understanding of yourself may be a journey that has no end. But self-awareness is one of the foundation strengths of all successful people.

I really like what Willard Barth, musician and personal development speaker has to say about self-awareness...

Explore who you are, and the journey will begin. See yourself as others see you, and you will have secret knowledge. Acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses, and you take the first steps to self-empowerment.

Thanks for sharing this blog. We all need to look at our lives and know what is important in our lives to us. We are the only ones who can change things that we don't like about our lives. Having God in my life helps me to look at life in a positive way.

Great video! We would love your feedback on our site where we are helping people discover how your self-perception compares to the way peers actually see you. A simple, private and honest way to expand self-knowledge and advance careers. http://bit.ly/2gnoME
